The Twilight Saga

You may have heard about this book, you may have not. If you have, you know that it's a phenomenon. If you haven't, you will see it everywhere once the movie is ready for promotion. People are crazy about Stephenie Meyer's Twilight saga. I am a fan myself. Thanks to Lalaine, who shoved her own paperback copy in my face, which is also now mine. Normally, I don't like to read for fun while I'm in session at school. However, it took me a week (this past week) to finish the first two novels in the series. They're pretty fat too. I just couldn't put the books down. They're insanely addictive, but they're also the kind of books that you don't want to finish because then it will all be over. Either way, you're stuck in hole. My mind is concentrated on thinking about the story a lot. It's ridiculous. Like everyone else, I can't wait until the movie comes out in November. I don't want to watch it on the first day though 'cause I know there will be madness and a frenzy of young girls screaming and swooning over the film's highly-populated number of hot men or even women. That last bit I don't mind. If you need a little background on the story, it goes like this: Bella is an ordinary, simple city girl who moves to the small town of Forks, where her dad lives. Living in a new place is obviously a challenge in the beginning, knowing you have to get used to everything and meeting new people. During the lunch hour of her first day of school, she notices a table of unique people. They are seemingly flawless, good-looking, and a little off at same time. She can't seem to stop glancing at the one boy that appeals to her most: Edward. Eventually, she finds out that he and the others are vampires. She also realizes that she's in love with him, as he is with her. The rest of the book provides a well-detailed story on the relationship that develops between Edward and Bella and all the emotions, complications, and events involved because of the differences in their existence. It's a love story. If you decide to read it, let me know if it sucked you into the whole mania of the saga. No pun intended. Haha.

FYI: After Twilight, the series continues with New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. The books are everywhere. You'll notice once you recognize and know the saga.
