Geography Journal Number Nine

After the midterm that we took today, we watched
a movie that introduced what we will be learning about
in the second half of the semester. The movie focused
more about geology, which I realized is a lot more inter-
esting after watching the movie. I think the main thing
I knew about geology is that it is the study of rocks. The
subject covers more than that. The movie talks about
the different layers in the earth's core. There are four
layers: the inner core, outer core, mantle, and crust.
The movie also talks about how mountains and canyons
are formed. I was more interested in learning about why
volcanoes and eathquakes occur. The animation in the
movie captured my attention. I think I would have a lot
more fun learning about the different topics of geology.
I have a lot of pictures that I can use from previous
road trips as well, which should be very exciting.
