Today was an interesting day because we had
a guest speaker come in to talk about weather.
He is meteorologist John Farley from NBC. His
presentation was quite entertaining. It seemed
all natural to him like he has done plenty of
presentations before. I like how he had a sense
of humor while talking about a subject that many
people just do not know much about. I actually
got a better sense of what meteorology is all
about. I have a friend who is majoring in meteor-
ology that came to the presentation as well, and
I understand what she is feeling now. She always
said that people did not get why she was so inter-
ested in meteorology. It really is interesting and
she is thankful that some people actually see that
now. I thought it was funny when John was men-
tioning that meteorologists are 85% accurate in a
short-term forecast. He said he was 90%. Funny
man! I have not seen him on t.v. yet. I am just
curious about what he is like in front of the camera.
